Pimlico Academy

John Nash is the Chairman of Pimlico Academy, a secondary school in Westminster with 1,300 pupils. Over 50% speak English as a second language, a third are eligible for free school meals and 15% are refugees or asylum seekers. Pimlico Academy holds the highest expectations for all its students and progress and success in academic, sporting, musical and creative areas are strongly celebrated. Students are encouraged to develop a keen sense of belonging and self-respect. Pimlico Academy specialises in History and the Visual and Performing Arts and is the only secondary school in the country with a pure History specialism.

In 2010 Pimlico Academy was awarded an Outstanding rating by Ofsted, two years after it became an Academy, having been put into Special Measures by Ofsted (a record time).
